Chapter 2

The Four Elements

I woke up early in the mourning. Lloyd was already up and practicing Spinjitsu. "Hey Lloyd," I said as I walked outside. "Hey Summer, I was thinking if you want after winning all four battles with the ninja, we could have a little battle of our own." Lloyd said with a smile on his face. "Are you sure? I'm not that strong, I mean honestly don't even think I will be able to beat any of them today." I said shyly. "You'll do absolutely fine. There's no reason to freak out." He reassured me. "I guess you're right," i agreed. "Anyways, why are you even out here?" He asked. "Oh, I'm looking for Desert. I want to take a mourning ride to calm myself down." I answered him. "You're really mature for a five-year old," Lloyd comments. "Yeah right. See you later, Lloyd." I said noticing Desert and then jumping onto his back. During that ride I thought to myself, I'm not mature at all. I just happen to be smart for my age and if I am it's because the only kid I get to see all the time is Jason. I then realized, I was out here for an hour and didn't even feed desert before we left. I headed straight for the bounty. When I got back, I hurried up to feed Desert and then go eat breakfast myself. "Hey, guys, I'm back." I yelled. Lloyd came running outside. "Where in the world were you, you've been gone for three hours?" He questioned. "I was riding my dragon. I told you before I left, remember." I said confused. "No, you didn't. You must have been day-dreaming. Now, hurry up and eat." he said. "Fine," I snapped. I ate as fast as I could and ran outside to find all five of the ninja and Sensei were out there. "Who's first?" i taunted. "You will battle Jay, Kai, Zane, and then Cole." Sensei replied. "Okay. Come on, Jay. Let's fight." I again Taunted. Jay flinched when I said his name. Jay just nodded his head and the first battle had begun. Jay did spinjitsu and I dodged and then I jumped on his head and accidentally knocked him out. "Awww, wise move." Sensei commented. I stood up and nodded. Kai stepped forward. This is easy I thought. I was ready to strike and so was he. Kai pulled out his sword, but I didn't have one so all I could do was dodge and wait for the time to strike to come. Then, I realized that electricity travels through metal. So, I grabbed the sword and gave him a little shock and Kai was on the ground knocked out. None of them know that I can use the elemental powers without the golden weapons. Zane is extremely silent and will be able to know what I would do next so I'm going to do something he wont expect. Zane stepped forward and went elemental on me and froze my hair. Now, what's about to happen, I can't even explain. My bright red hair caught on fair, but instead of being burnt to a crisp or me getting burnt, it melted the ice and then disappeared. Zane, Cole, Sensei, Lloyd, and Nya looked shocked. I took this as an opportunity to defeat Zane. I did my spinjitsu and accidentally threw Zane off the ship, but like a good friend, Desert caught him and he was alright. Then, It was Cole's turn. Cole is pretty much defenseless up here in the air so It was an easy fight, but like Kai, he brought his scythe to the fight. I just kept jumping and dodging. Then I spun as fast as I could around and around creating a blur of Lightening and fire which eventually Cole fainted from dizziness. "Hey Summer, want to battle?" Lloyd asked. I nodded my head, confident that I could beat him. He leaped at me. I did spinjitsu and he bounced off. He decided to use his powers and shot an elemental ball at me, but then Sensei jumped in front of me and took the shot. "Sensei, are you alright?" Lloyd asked. "What are you thinking? You could have killed her." Sensei said weakly. "I wasn't. I'm sorry." Lloyd replied. Just then, the other four ninja were backup, confused at the sight of Sensei on the floor by my feet and Lloyd about to jump on the Ultra-dragon. "What's up?" All four of them said together. "Lloyd shot an elemental ball at me and Sensei jumped in front of me." I replied shyly. "Go to your room, Summer." Jay said. I ran to my room as fast as I could. I don't think that was Lloyd I thought. Just then, someone knocked on the door. "Come in," I said. Lloyd came in with a smirk on his face. "I shouldn't have challenged you. i mean, You're so weak and that you could never defeat me." He said before walking out. That's it I thought on the verge of tears. I need to prove to Lloyd that I will defeat him. So, I decided to run away. I packed everything I could and then stumbled across the comics that Jason told me to read and I never did. I decided to pack it and jumped out the window. Desert knows I love to go skydiving so right before i landed on the ground, Desert dived and caught me. "Come on, Desert. Let's get out of here." I said.
